Festival of Luminescence

The Festival of Luminescence is a lunar festival celebrated around much of the world, in Kyena's honor. To celebrate, people set up large lanterns and magical lights, and release paper lanterns in the shape of full moons, red and white, into the air at night. The holiday is in honor of Carilia and Datania, two clerics of Kyena whose great deeds inspired the names for Thiatrel's two moons. Celebrated annually on the night that both moons are full, many cities spend days to weeks getting ready, setting up banners and lighted strings.
