Vault 04 - Green
A very large dimension vault gate seen in the Vars 12V System.
The gates are massive pocket-megastructures which allowed entry to and from each of the ancient Rih'kiel Prime pocket dimensions, each corresponding to a different luminescence colour and ability.
The fourth gate was the origin of those with the green ability - allowing these specific Rih'kiel to communicate telepathically. The unique conditions of their pocket universe made them specialise in this type of ability - they needed to find new ways to communicate between each other easily, because for unknown reasons there were strange weather patterns which eliminated all sound, preventing them from communicating to each other. Like the other rih'kiel vaults, they genetically engineered themselves to have these abilities, giving themselves the green luminescence they are known for now, as the chemical combinations they used emits mainly green light.
This led to a society where it was far easier for 2 individuals to communicate to each other privately, knowing that no method was available that could intercept these signals. It also allowed for communication at much longer distances, as long as the recipient was within line of sight. This allowed for incredibly well-coordinated criminal activities but also well-coordinated police forces. The bright green glow that comes from their heads when they communicate gives away that an individual is communicating, but their message is unknowable to all but any chosen recipients.
Secrets were much easier to keep. As a result, there are probably more of them and others can be trusted with them. To tell others about someone else's secret is a very bad sin and will likely cause them to lose trust with multiple other people. This is very frowned upon in their culture. They can keep military secrets preserved for a very long time because of this, so the green ability lineage was difficult for others to defeat in the calamity.
They had a culture which valued gaming similar to that of virtual universes. They could spend longer periods of time in these games, and some might have forgot they were in a game at all, and the Virtual Universe became their reality. These individuals would be woken up for their safety. These individuals might have been quite afraid of their actual reality after being awoken from such a deep sleep...
With the Calamity that destroyed their pocket dimension along with all the others, the people of this pocket dimension desperately fled. Most of them were killed in the war, but a very small number survived and built a number of stations around Raria to survive on. This disaster, much like the rest of the rih'kiel species, was remembered and could not be forgotten, else they risk the event repeating.
