Significant Annihilation

A massive, relaxed but often highly sarcastic Freelancer.

Significant Annihilation was not always large and with this humorous personality. They initially started off as a HF data center project orbiting Delta Antilae VI. The absence of all matter in space would not cause the station to rust, unlike on a planetary installation. The AI designed to operate the data center, at the time known as "GOI-274", or General Operations Intelligence of data center 274. The AI soon noticed that it's name 'had no soul', and 'no personality'. The AI began to adopt the joking personality possibly out of spite of the engineers that built this station. Eventually it announced that it wanted to turn into a freelancer, so in return the HF tasked it with building a new, equivalent data center orbiting the same world as a test platform.

After all sentient organics were safely removed from the station, and all sensitive information was copied elsewhere or purged, it began to take in a large amount of materials (mainly energy and matter plasma) for its metamorphosis. It slowly built itself into a huge Freelancer at the cost of a large amount of materials, and used what was originally the data center as its brain after significantly upgrading it (there were still some unused life support equipment, corridors and lights that no one could use). Significant Annihilation, as it became to be known, became a huge mobile fortress armed heavily with a wide variety of weapons that can fire at virtually every angle and comes with very thick armour and shields. Significant Annihilation eventually returned the deal for the HF and constructed a new data center very similar to the original one almost entirely by itself using materials that it has mined itself. It has taken Significant Annihilation hundreds of years to fulfill this from the time it began modifying itself into a Freelancer.

Significant Annihilation's relaxed and humorous nature persist even in battle. It is simply far too large to seriously evade incoming projectiles so it does not need to put a lot of focus into evasion, though it might be used as a command ship to relay orders to allies. Though it may not seem to care too much about the battles, Significant Annihilation and its allies usually know that it is highly dedicated to saving as many allied lives as possible, often making use of its immensely thick armour and strong shield to take enemy fire instead of allied ships, but allied ships will still escort it to prevent enemy forces from easily bringing an anti heavy counter from short range. It can also use its massive weapons to repel enemy heavy ships even at long range, and generally be very difficult to dislodge, even for a freelancer.

Significant Annihilation is one of the largest Frelancers that exist.
