Second HF - HM War

As of 40135, the HF has been involved in many minor conflicts with the HM and CD recently. This has silghtly weakened their military, but during this time, the HM grew notably faster. This led to the HM having a significantly larger force than the HF, inviting attack. At the dawn of the initial assaults, the HM forces massively overwhelmed that of the HF. Though the latter was fairly used to fighting off significantly larger forces, the advantage favored the HM too much, and the latter acted with machine-like efficiency. As such, the HF has lost a significant amount of its military in the war, but that was slowly recovered in the 2000 years between this war and the Hyperquasar Annihilator War. 

As the HF could not fight against this extreme force, they were forced to use some of their restricted weapons, those which the ethics committee have banned. This has later also caused low stability problems within many HF star nations, but has seen a lot of success in repelling the HM invasion. Trillions were assimilated into the HM as the front rapidly progressed further into HF territory and many more retreated. They began to use weapons such as Hyper-Taidakic Anti-ship RKMs, negentropy warheads and antimatter warheads. This has had a profound impact on the war, slowing the HM advance significantly. However, they also deployed Superstring - Class Subspatial Starships deep into HM territory, armed with Slipspace Bombs. This has severely devastated most HM galaxies and they were forced to withdraw most of the invasion force. This has allowed the HF to use few extra slipspace bombs within their territory to block HM avenues of retreat, and after the war, a significant fraction of the HM economy and military were annihilated. After this incident, the HM stopped attacking the HF, bringing an end to the war. To this day, there are still those who feel like other factions might be able to develop similar weapons to use against the HF, which could possibly lead to mutually assured destruction, and the complete annihilation of Fortrais. The ethics committee tries its best to reassure these fears.
