Olrate
Olrate is an ocean planet of the Vleno System. It is mostly water, and it features mainly aquatic life, which thrives in the very deep water and relatively high pressure. Space organisms are usually launched from one of the small number of large islands, being fed from the water nearby. Olrate also has a number of deep ocean trenches which often have even higher pressure, being many kilometers deep each. Due to the oceanic nature of Olrate, some creatures can be very large as they do not have to support their own weight. Lower than a certain depth, almost no light is able to reach the water. This results in an extremely dark abyss that few species can see very far in. As such, conditions can vary significantly between different layers and depths but generally, dead creatures will sink towards the lowest layers until they hit the ground. As such, more scavengers are probably present at lower depths.
Life on Olrate can become notably larger than the other planets due to the aquatic nature of most life on the planet. In the ocean, the square cube law has less impact on locomotion and and larger creatures tend to have fewer predators. As such, they have grown very diverse and many in number. These leviathans are truly immense creatures of destruction which only the largest of purposed organisms can hope to fight. Other than that, the Harkas now have little chance of killing one, now that the entire system has decayed into this ecosystem.
The largest space launch facility is located on the largest island on the planet, taking up most of the area of the island. The facility can defend itself very effectively using its large shield generators and heavy armament. Like other harkas launch facilities, it must rely on purposed organisms for supplies or else it will no longer be able to launch payloads into space. Additionally, many harkas call these facilities home and as such they are very important to defend and sustain. As such, it sometimes launches hunting groups to bring large would-be predators of the harkas to the facility for consumption. These must be well equipped to survive the conditions, where most creatures are partly mechanical and can shoot the hunting groups in return. This is probably what most individuals living here spend most of their time on.
Some harkas have used to send purposed organisms to the very deep areas of the planets ocean in order to uncover the secrets there. They no longer have the ability to do that, and survival is a higher priority. As such, the depths remain a mystery now.
