Gathaknel of Tebburus
A titanic lifeform native to Tebburus.
Gathaknel is a very large creature comprised of many bacterial cells called Gatha. As Gatha reproduce, their offspring always combine into this singular mass, Gathaknel. Any Gatha that fall off or are split off from the larger body will die. Because of this, there is only a singular Gathaknel present on Tebburus.
Gathaknel is a very large, whale-like creature which spans over 1 km in length. Gathaknel is also the largest titanic lifeform on Tebburus because the buoyancy force scales well with creature size, unlike the mass that legs or the Taidakic Field can carry. Gathaknel constantly seeks out megafauna life to eat as well as acting as a filter feeder, finding huge groups of smaller creatures. This means that they have caused great damage to suon underwater cities sometimes, so many attempts have been made to kill it before the suons realised the importance of titanic lifeforms to the ecosystem of Tebburus. After each assassination attempt, Gathaknel got smaller in mass but could regrow over time. It also ate a small number of warships during its history, though it never liked how warships tasted so it eventually used its mouth to destroy them instead. The creature has very thick armour, possibly a response to suon firearms, and it would now require a notably large weapon to harm it. However, smaller modern firearms would probably also harm it because they are often extremely powerful. Now the United Nations of Tebburus and WDA normally try to pacify it, as well as other titanic lifeforms, as titanic lifeforms can act as a population limiter of megafauna, which are more dangerous to suons anyway.
Gathaknel is fairly mobile for its large size. With massive propulsion fins and its tail, it can swim faster than some ships which allows it to keep up with some megafauna species. Due to its size it can store much more energy and outlast prey.
