First Jeskuar - Ooblar War
War that was fought between the 2 Tebburus nations of Jeskuar and Ooblar, during the Tebburus Unification War.
The war happened in the earlier stages of the fusion era before the Saelian Coalition invasion. These 2 nations wanted to conquer the other completely and wipe the other off the map, which would probably grant the winner with enough resources to secure much of the globe and its population. However, it quite notably did not go very far and neither nation saw any significant territory gains outside of the ocean floor, with Jeskuar conquering areas of the ocean, most of which were exploited if any resources were found. It was primarily an ocean war. However, by the end, Jeskuar has created new strains of Suons, from the Water Suon base, which could live in the water and hide from most kinds of sonar, as their bodies were designed to be more transparent to sonar frequencies of sound, so that sonar waves would simply pass through them. This was soon added to the gene pool of the wider suon species but is very rare. It almost guarantees a person that at least one of their ancestors fought in the war, on the Jeskuaran side.
Jeskuar used these people to devastating effect in this war and several subsequent wars. Following the Saelian Coalition landing, Jeskuar was destroyed as a nation, and the sonar-resistant people were inherited by Ooblar and Tastein, but most came under the former nation's control. Against the saelians, they proven even more effective against a force that was not expecting them at all.
However it was not a landslide victory even for jeskuar. The Ooblaran forces had a lot of chances to utilse their Taidakic Field airship technology advantage to its full potential. These airships, surprisingly stable, had a significant range and evasion advantage which they often used to strike Jeskuaran warships from longer range.
The new suon strain could help to counter these airships with heatseeking rocket launchers, but they could do little else against the airships, so it was a difficult battle even for Jeskuar. Jeskuar had a notable water mobility advantage so they captured a large number of Ooblaran prisoners, particularly when they destroyed several airships, causing them to crash into the ocean below. Prisoners were often interrogated, enslaved and their genome studied. Jeskuar already had a reputation for carrying out such inhumane activities.
After the war, those who have died have been remembered as part of the victory day ceremonies which happen on the day the Unification War ended every year. Detailed recounts of the war still exist in multiple war memorials and data archives.
