Eleven Hearts Foundation
An organisation dedicated to helping war refugees find a safer home.
Unlike most organisations of its type, the Eleven Hearts Foundation has no restrictions within any one faction, as almost all Fortran factions contribute to the Foundation, and provide safety to anyone that arrives in their borders. However, the Foundation does not seem to concern itself over the quality of life of its war refugees, sometimes moving people to factions like the Grand Artanat Empire. They seem to only resettle refugees to the easiest location that they can be moved to, often the nearest safe area. Sometimes, the easiest place to resettle refugees are within the territories of a minor faction such as the ZSC, but in this specific case the refugee would likely have a pretty strange life. It even functions to a lesser extent in Arcturus, though that galaxy has its own refugee organisations with this role.
Foundation starships are normally of Tranal Nomads design, but painted in special colour schemes and its reactor modified intentionally to produce a different energy signature. This makes their ships very easily distinguishable from other Fortran starships. Some factions do not have the technology that is available to the TN, so they would make their own attempts to replicate a specific TN design as closely as possible, in function. They are also often stripped of armament to further prove they could mean no harm to whatever faction they decide to visit. As such, they are often even allowed in war zones, but would have to be quite careful to not be fired upon. They often rescue starship crews from wrecked starships, usually after the respective battle has already ended but sometimes even during battles. This gives the rescue ships of the Foundation a reputation for fearlessness and selflessness. Only the most brave of ship captains are selected for this role, but they must still follow a strict protocol for their own safety.
There are still those who criticise the Eleven Hearts Foundation. Many factions would prefer them to send people to their own borders, but perhaps the most significant criticism is the fact they sometimes send people to the GAE, who will enslave anyone they can. Some people might prefer to die than be moved to such factions.
