Battle of Harurn

A battle between Alti Dominion and Republic of Miasi in the Harurn system during 43924. The Alti launched an attack on this poorly defended Miasi star system. As Alti forces are slower than Miasi forces, they of course exploited this. Rapidly launching strikes at the enemy and performing evasive maneuvers. The Alti starships could still hit them, if less effectively. Their weapons have very high fire rates and their ships well armoured. Although the Alti forces had a significant numbers advantage due to catching the Miasi by surprise, the Miasi ships managed to destroy a lot of enemy ships. They got a kill ratio of approximately 1:2 in their favor. This ended with a pyrrhic Alti victory, driving the Miasi out of the system.
  During the battle, the Miasi republic have launched a lot of attacks against Alti logistics, as they normally do. This has resulted in a lot of Alti supplies failing to arrive on battle, and they had to conserve ammunition. Despite this, their supply convoys were escorted and Miasan guerilla force supplies were also arguably low as well. Of the 2, the Miasan ships could return to their own space quite easily due to superior speed but the Alti ships would already be inside their own occupied territory so the Alti dominion had a notable advantage. The Alti dominion opened the battle with a massive artillery bombardment of Miasan space assets around several planets. They were detected early because of the emptiness of outer space but some of their assets but they were prepared. The Miasan forces made the daring move to launch counterattacks against the Alti artillery using their superior mobility and speed to cover the distance. They almost managed to encircle the initial artillery striking force butt he Alti forces were like a moving fortress and managed to break through the encirclement maneuver through the rear. This initial strike did end in the Miasans' favor, but the battle was far from over as the Alti continued to send attacks towards the many other planets of the system, and many of these succeeded but at a high cost.
