Augiback Data Fae

A culture of data fae inhabiting a dedicated data hive called Augiback on Paragon.

Generally, the data fae have pretty silly cultures as they tend to have a psychology favoring humor. However, this data hive has been the target of a number of HM raids, which has altered the forms of the fae inhabiting it. They are known to joke far less than an 'average' data fae, and are much larger and more mutated than regular fae. Other fae tend to see them with some manner of empathy, so they are often allowed into other fae data hives. Their genes may spread, albeit very slowly and now a number of data hives have small populations of fae from this data hive.

It is also tradition to honor those who have been lost in the HM raids, and also during other events such as war. The data fae tend to be forgotten after death more quickly because they are humorous by nature (though their names, achievements, ect are recorded in the archive, as the HF does with all of its people). However, because of the several holidays that this fae culture has, they are remembered for far longer after death.

However, even this fae culture still has some capacity for humor. They can be seen having a laugh, though it is somewhat rare.

They aspire to form a more useful help to the HF than other data hives. To ths end, they are often seen controlling robots to help the HF with various matters such as fighting on some fronts and mining using mining stations that they establish. To this culture, contributing more than they take is seen as very honorable, and this lifestyle likely would not work with regular data fae. As such, the regular forms tend to remain out of this data hive. In fact, one data fae from this hive has become a freelancer, having designed its new starship body itself. It has still retained its fae name, and has kept a QEC signal to its old home to remain in contact with its family. Sometimes, it allows other fae into itself but this is fairly rare. 

This data hive originally began as a regular data center. It was repurposed into a data hive when the center's dedicated AI noticed that a significant population of Data Fae have accidentally migrated into its data center. Any useful information was extracted by the AI and placed into new data centers and then the AI was extracted and placed in a different data center. This was done as they simply could not track where the data fae were coming from and there were too many to easily relocate. The HF has built new data centers to replace this one. They remain operational today. One of them is actually a purposed organism, defending it from Fae incursions. (they can inhabit organic brains, but it is more difficult for them to do this).
