Harran Bigfoot

Harran Bigfoot (a.k.a. The (self-proclaimed) World's Greatest Thief)

Harran had never had a particularly hard life. Through much of his childhood, he was fairly well-mannered, if a little mischievous at times. That is until one day, at the age of 15, he felt particularly hungry while roaming the market of the Twine River, his hometown, and spied an unwatched basket of apples, ripe for the taking. The sense of excitement he felt from committing this first act of thievery was truly exhilarating, and pushed him into a life of shadows and stealing.   For the next 40 years, Harran fell further into his desire to pilfer anything of value, not for its monetary value, but simply to prove he had the skill. Not every attempt was met with resounding success, and there were multiple occasions where he had to make very quick getaways, often hopping over to a different island. But as the years passed, Harran became better at his chosen life, and managed to pickpocket even some of the wealthier people he came across.   Harran's latest endeavour was his riskiest of all. Word had spread of a ship ruled by undead carrying a hoard of valuable treasures. This opportunity for challenge was too good to miss! Once night had set in, Harran located the "ghost ship", and snuck aboard. The rumours were, as it turned out, not just rumours after all, as he discovered a great wealth stashed away below deck. There was simply too much to carry, so Harran elected to take the most valuable looking thing in the room, and scarper. However, as he departed from the ship, he was spotted by one of the undead, who raised the alarm. He had to escape fast! Harran ran and ran, as far away as he could get, until no sign of the undead ship was in sight. Harran counted himself as safe, and successful.   But this was not to be the end of his undertaking. As the days passed, he began to notice creatures following him, wherever he went. Curiosity got the better of him, and he set a trap to capture his stalker. What a surprise it was, when he discovered the culprit was none other than an undead, who had followed him for leagues! Harran knew he would not be safe yet, and so ran once more.   For weeks he travelled, always paranoid that the undead would find him, and on multiple occasions, they nearly did. Across islands he sailed, over land he rode, until the present day, which has taken him to the island of Vester, looking for another escape (and, if luck would have it, more treasure).

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Being a halfling, Harran has a short stature, standing below 3ft tall. He also weighs less than average, giving him a slightly thinner size than usual, though this gives him an advantage in his line of work.

Body Features

A thin scar traces his left forearm, gained from a narrow escape after robbing a military camp north of the Twine River, one of his earlier endeavours. His legs are sturdy, giving him greater power to run away, but his halfling nature allows him to tread lightly, a useful skill as a thief.

Facial Features

Though only a young adult in halfling years, Harran has faint age lines, which have appeared as a result of the stress he constantly puts himself under, and other unsavoury habits he has previously partaken in.

Identifying Characteristics

Harran has no particular features that would easily make him stand out where he does not want to, a trait he has picked up over the years. However, if you were to catch a glimpse of his face, you would notice his eyes are a brighter green than most others. When once asked about it, he said they helped him see in the dark, though this could easily be a lie.

A cunning halfling who dove headfirst into the world of thievery and never looked back.
