The Condition:
The condition known as "Soulless" emerges from those who look too far into the spiritual portion of the Essence and has reached The Var and stared into it's abyss and has been unable to embrace it or forget it. This condition has led those to kill without reason, create armies, empires, creatures, and destroy their own lives and others. The condition is not innately evil or bad, but leads to chaotic and chronic addiction to power and information in the void.Transmission & Vectors
Looking too far into The Var and pulling from this source of Essence. The sickness comes from what is removed from you as you reach into the Void and the addiction from this power. It's like an unhealthy obsession with the macabre you can't stop looking.
Causes
Radical, constant, and ill-prepared uses of Spiritual, Metaphysical, or Physical Essence from the Void. Typically because of one of two reasons:
1. To avoid the Void by any means
2. Trying in vane to understand harness the power of the Void and succumbs to the infiniteness.
Symptoms
Visions of past, present, and possible future and not always yours.
When images start to appear to the user, that's when the condition begins.
Hallucinations. Powers that are jagged and feel twisted. Violent and aggressive tendencies. Prone to outbursts. Paranoia and fear. Talk of seeing strangers and people.
Treatment
Replacement of Void Toll with that of what's renewing. Beauty, love, and joy allows for the Void's Toll to be paid. You cannot ever be the same, however with commitment and
Cutting yourself off from the Essence like an addict from what they're addicted to.

The more Essence the user manipulates the more likely the condition is to develop, but those who tend to have better form and are less prone to the condition, but using poor form causes it to seep in.

Those that carry it cannot remove it. They cannot remove the knowledge. Some carry it in different ways but never can be the same. Even those who "recover" from the Soulless condition.
Prevention
Not drawing from the Void too much. Not trying to ask too many questions of the void. The information is there...all information is there, but we are not able to properly comprehend it.
Epidemiology
People can easily and accidentally pass the condition on because the unknowing and unprepared have no clue what they are about to experience and they will spend their life recovering from this image.
