Elflock Drools
The 2nd day
As we explore the basement we find an occult symbol on the floor of a room. In another room that we access after da bear broke a hole in the door, we find a lab with not many potions or papers. The potion we find is a gecko potion and the papers we find require translation. As we are exploring we hear footsteps and are attacked by some cultists. We make short work of them and manage to take two of them as prisoners thanks to the healing of the plant. The cultists tell us that the guy was involved in the cult and died due to a spell. The symbol we found mentioned necromancy so we want to make sure the guy stays dead. We also found books mentioning mutating wildlife which could explain a mutated wolf that is prowling the forest. We search for more clues upstairs and get ready to head back into town to get some answers
The Arrival
I arrived at the village looking for clues on the death of the guy. I believe it to be a murder from talking with the mayor and some of the townsfolk. It was a very uncommon death with no sign of injury. Death probably caused by poison or magic. As I was getting a room at the hunters lodge ran into two other elves, a bear, a plant, and a tiny robot. They seem to be interested in the death as well and have accompanied me on my search for answers. They seem trustworthy and have been helpful. We head to the guy's house to look for more clues before the funeral. At the house we don't find much but I do find a secret staircase to a basement. We shall explore next time
