WELCOME to
Theshine, a world suffused with the fantastic, covered with tropical rainforests and Hellish volcanoes and seismic faults, populated by bizarre races of humanoid creatures from the human imagination come to solid reality. The myriad cultures of disparate civilizations await you.
You yourself might be an

Theshine refers to the area around
The Gusset and
Boiling Bay, considered the cradle of all civilizations.
The Gusset is a narrow isthmus, about 12 miles across, between
Boiling Bay and the
Northern Ocean.
Boiling Bay opens to the
Southern Ocean to the South.
THESHINE: "Sisters in Battle – The Inner Thighs of the World"
The linear area from the
Northern Ocean, across the
The Gusset, and down the center of
Boiling Bay is a great seismic and volcanic valley of horrific air temperatures. The water temperature in
Boiling Bay often exceeds twice the local boiling point, thus the "boiling" moniker. Deadly air temperatures have been recorded, as have water vapor (steam) temperatures around 1,000ºF (~500ºC).
Boiling Bay is at the bottom of a sweltering depression known as
Furnaceland. Here the air is still extremely hot. A little relief, and slightly more survivable strip of ecosystem known as the
Feverlands, is between
Furnaceland and the surrounding tropical forests. The
Feverlands are still scortching hot, but the tropical forest, where the various populations of humans, ɛɭⱱɛɳȁ, and lizardfolk reside, only gets that hot in the
Nuxasé (Summer) months. In
Taxteuré (Winter) it's a positively cool 90ºF (32ºC) or less. The native populations of the forests and boscages wear little to light or no clothing.
It's in these tropical forests surrounding
The Gusset and
Boiling Bay, before the great land battles, migrations, and diasporae of prehistory that it's thought that all three of the great civilizations,
Celtia,
ɛɭⱱɛɳȁ, and
Salamandea were engenerated.
Generally,
ɛɭⱱɛɳȁ is North & South of
The Gusset,
Celtia is to the West,
Salamandea to the East.
