Jovialis, Belt of Xenagos

Crafted to amuse Xenagos, the Saty God, this artifact embodies revelry and mischief. Adorned with carvings of boisterous celebrations, the Belt of Xenagos exudes untamed energy and mischievous delight. Wearing this belt, one gains an irresistible charm and a magnetic presence, drawing others into a wild, carefree spirit. It empowers the wearer to conjure auras of euphoria and chaos, turning harmless jests into grand spectacles infused with peril.   Jovialis, makes its wearer a living embodiment of hedonistic revelry. They become a beacon of joy and unpredictable merriment, inspiring awe, laughter, and a hint of trepidation. But amidst the chaos, one must remember to tread carefully, for the line between playful amusement and dangerous trickery is as thin as a Satyr's flute melody.   Masterful Dancer. You have proficiency in the Performance skill. If you already have proficiency in this skill, you gain expertise in this skill. Furthermore, you can have up to three charges of inspiration (granted by your GM) and do not loose inspiration during a long rest.   Revel of the Century. If you are a devoted follower of Xenagos, you gain additional benefits based on your level of devotion:   Piety 10+
  • The belt grants a +1 bonus to Charisma (Performance) checks.
  • You gain a climing speed equal to your walking speed and you can jump twice as high and far as normal.
  Piety 25+
  • The belt grants an additional +1 bonus to Charisma (Performance) checks.
  • You may use inspiration to reroll any damage roll. The new result counts.
  • The belt has 1 randomly determined minor beneficial property.
  Piety 50+
  • The belt grants an additional +1 bonus to Charisma (Performance) checks.
  • Whenever you fall below half your hit point maximum or receive a critical hit the spell mirror image is cast on you, lasting the duration, no concentration required.
  • The belt has 1 randomly determined major beneficial property.
If you aren't a worshiper of Xenagos, the glaive has 1 minor detrimental property and 1 major detrimental property, both randomly determined.   See "Artifacts" in chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master's Guide for details on randomly determined properties.   No Risk, no fun. Whenever you cast a spell, roll a d10 and apply the according effect from the Revel Effects table. You may spend an inspiration to avoid having to roll on the table.

1 Your skin changes color, taking on vibrant hues such as deep blue, radiant green, or shimmering gold, creating a mesmerizing visual spectacle for 1 hour.
2 An aura of shimmering light similar to the light spell surrounds you for the next minute.
3 You may cast a cantrip in addition to the spell.
4 Your spell's energy becomes unstable, randomly changing the damage type to a different element (fire, cold, acid, etc.) with each casting.
5 You cast shield on yourself.
6 Casting the spell leaves you vulnerable, reducing your AC and saving throws by 2 for the next minute.
7 You gain 2 points of inspiration.
8 The spell veers off course and targets a random creature within range instead of your intended target.
9 The casting of the spell revitalizes your body. You gain Xd4 hitpoints, where X is the spells level
10 The casting drains your energy. You gain one level of fatigue.
11 The spell's energy spirals out of control, affecting you as well.
12 The spell's potency is heightened, allowing it to deal maximum damage.
  Destroying the Belt. To destroy the belt, it must remain untouched in the Ashlands without any form of entertainment for one month. Then, it must be cast into the caldera of Mount Vesios.
