Elysis, Mantle of Ephara

Wondrous Item (robe), artifact (requires attunement)   Elysis is a divine mantle gifted by the gracious goddess of civilization, law, scholarship, and art. This resplendent garment is adorned with intricate motifs symbolizing diplomacy and intellect, radiating an aura that inspires both allies and instills doubt in the hearts of foes.   While attuned to Ephara's Mantle, you gain the following benefits:   Charismatic Speaker. You have proficiency in the Persuasion skill. If you already have proficiency in this skill, you gain expertise in this skill.   Aura of Doubt. As an action, you can activate the robe's aura, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and skepticism. Choose up to three creatures within 30 feet of you. The chosen creatures must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier. On a failed save, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn. Once used, this ability can't be used again until you finish a short or long rest.   Gift of Diplomacy. If you are a devoted follower of Ephara, you gain additional benefits based on your level of devotion:   Piety 10+
  • The robe grants a +1 bonus to Charisma (Persuasion) checks.
  • You can cast the Charm Person spell once per day without requiring any material components. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
  Piety 25+
  • The robe grants an additional +1 bonus to Charisma (Persuasion) checks.
  • You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
  • You can cast the Suggestion spell once per day without requiring any material components. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
  • The Mantle has 1 randomly determined minor beneficial property.
  Piety 50+

  • You have advantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks made to influence non-hostile creatures.
  • You can cast the Modify Memory spell once per day without requiring any material components. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
  • The Mantle has 1 randomly determined major beneficial property.
If you aren't a worshiper of Ephara, the Mantle has 2 major detrimental properties, both randomly determined.   See "Artifacts" in chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master's Guide for details on randomly determined properties.   Inspiring Words (Requires Level 12 or Piety 10+). As an action, you can deliver an inspiring speech, granting temporary hit points equal to your level + your Charisma modifier to any number of creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you. Once used, this ability can't be used again until you finish a short or long rest.   Minds of the Willing (Requires Level 15 or Piety 25+). You can cast the Dominate Person spell once per day without requiring any material components. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.   Aura of Persuasion (Requires Level 17 or Piety 50+). Your aura of doupt becomes even more potent. Whenever you activate the robe's aura ability, you can choose up to six creatures instead of three. Additionally, the affected creatures have disadvantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened until the end of their next turn. Once used, this ability can't be used again until you finish a short or long rest.   Destroying the Mantle. To destroy Elysis, its wearer must use the Robe's persuasive powers to convince Heliod, Athreos, Karametra, Ioras or Ephara herself to destroy the robe. If this happens, the robe dissolves into pure light, returning its essence to Ephara, and its power is forever lost. No other god and no monster has the power to destroy Elysis.
