The Death of Grenogaxis
Life, Death
(Unknown to Unknown)
The weary demi-god Grenogaxis finds a quiet corner of the world in which to meet his end.
Grenogaxis The Weary Watcher
Long after the creation of all things, long after Jansagvir carved great caverns beneath the earth to sculpt the first of his dragons, and long after Omidande severed his own head and hands casting the former into the ocean to give the world his knowledge and using the latter as great pillars to brace the surface world to prevent it from collapsing into the depths – There was Grenogaxis.
Once an assistant to his father Jansagvir’s creation of the earliest dragons, Grenogaxis first among them, he was now no more than a lonely warden of an unimportant world. The gods had turned their attention to other planets of the core spiral and while they would eventually return, Grenogaxis knew he was no longer important enough to have a part in his fathers grand plans.
Giants and their progeny overran the world, the mortal races fought over scraps and the youngest dragons nipped and gnashed at his colossal form. All Grenogaxis truly wanted was peace.
In a small corner of The Great Barrier Desert, so called because it once wrapped around the centre of the world – before
Jansagvir carved it up to sculpt his dragons,
Grenogaxis found his solace. Falling into a deep slumber over many centuries, the great earthen dragon released his energies into the land infusing what would become the country of
Uru with life.
