After the death of Zoraket in the Death of the Coordinator event, the unity between the dragons began to fray. One of the factions rebelled against the will of the Draconic Pantheon, which was put down in short order. The rebels were punished, and became wingless and lost their immortality. Thus were the Serpentine Dragons created.
