Order of the Yearned End
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
The Order of the Yearned End is a heretical Bafigronian religious order, comprised of paladins of Helios. Originally an independent Bafigronian knightly order, their cosmological views had them branded as heretics by both the Sovereign Imperator and the clergy.
Cosmological Views
The order views Theras as being in a defective state, where darkness exists as an entity instead of being a mere phenomena. The order holds an eschatological interpretation of the enmity between light and darkness; they believe a time will come where Nyx will usher in the end of Theras by manifesting in her full form on the Prime Material Plane, Shadowfell and Feywild concurrently. Then, Helios will rise as a new sun, and a new world will be made, without darkness, loss, or grief.
Granted Divine Powers
The order is comprised of paladins of Helios, that fulfill his tenets of faith to the letter and adhere to his ideals without fault. Despite their heresy, they are still granted the divine powers granted to all other paladins of Helios; this fact is the reason the order never sought to be rehabilitated by the general clergy nor by The Bafigron Empire, as Helios see no fault in their beliefs.
