Monastery of Elethial Avari
Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Balance is not a stance. It is the wind beneath our blade, the breath before the strike, and the silence that follows.Monastery of Elethial Avari, also known as the Monastery of the Unshattered Sky, is a monastery deep inside Echor i Naurgon. It is a sanctum of profound serenity and disciplined perfection, founded by the eldest disciple of Klinter the Last Tortle, the Leonin from another plane, known as Lioniardo the Blue.
Tactics and Role
In battle, the Elethial Quessari serve as precision skirmishers, wardens, and paragons of measured response. Known for their flowing dueling styles, they can deflect arrows with flowing parries and disarm foes without fatality. They are deployed by elven courts and emissaries alike in conflicts that require leadership, calm judgment, and inspiring courage.Culture
Training and Structure
Disciples are chosen not for their talent, but for their willingness to learn and surrender pride. Within the monastery’s starlit halls, they undergo rigorous training in blade forms, open-palm deflection, and cloudwalking footwork. The masters, called Vaerelun, oversee the Three Winds of training: Breath (discipline of spirit), Steel (discipline of body), and Silence (discipline of mind).Public Agenda
The monastery is deeply tied to the heritage of the Elves of Faenya Dail and Amon-Thal. Blending martial elegance with meditative insight, the teachings of Elethial Quessari emphasize inner balance as the foundation of physical prowess. Their warriors walk paths of introspection and harmony, striving to remain clear-eyed in times of war and peace alike.
Philosophy
The central tenet of the monastery is Shalvaen Thiradhal. It teaches that all conflict must be approached with clarity of purpose and restraint of ego. Every technique, every movement, is meant not for domination, but for restoration of harmony.History
The Elethial Avari, was the first of the four divergent paths to emerge from the Aeonic Monastery, and is considered by many to be its most spiritually faithful offshoot. Its founder, Lioniardo the Blue, did not break from the Aeon Monastery in anger or rebellion, but in purpose, to establish a school dedicated to refined martial elegance, selfless guardianship, and the preservation of beauty and truth in a fracturing world.
