Magus

Ervenian Era, 1051 AB
Magus or (Magi plural) stands at the threshold between the arcane and the martial. In one hand, a scholar of battle whose spell and sword are one motion. To outsiders, they are paradoxes: neither wizard nor warrior, yet more dangerous than either. To themselves, they are seekers of perfect union, for in every strike they hear the harmony of body, will, and the Weave.   Where wizards spend lifetimes behind tomes and fighters train upon the field, the Magus does both. Their mind is their arsenal, their weapon their focus. In combat, they weave sigils mid-swing, their blades flickering with runes of power, and their incantations punctuated by the clash of steel.

Role

Magi often serve as arcane duelists, battle-scholars, or royal enchanters, standing between the wizard’s tower and the knight’s field.

History

First ever recorded mention of Magi, was at Aetheliora, where elves first blended martial grace with disciplined spellcraft.
