Sacking of Ironrain

Wild Giants took charge at the new city of Ironrain. The Orsai battled but took heavy losses. Their city was destroyed and their king was killed in the melee. Some stay to rebuild others move on.

The ruler of Ironrain consistently ignored the reports of the Goblins. At this point in life, having ruled an successful kingdom made him too proud. So accepting the stories about the Maviper attacking their Mavusk allies without fear of reciprocation amused him. So much so that he turned it into a celebratory event. After a night of regaling through some of the stories, full of drink they slept soundly. Their beds warm and cozy as the silent night filled their heads. The guards regrettably slept through their watch as well, and never noticed the faint rumbling coming from the south. But they awoke to an earthquake, and bodies being launched threw rooftops like spears. A deep grumbling shook out any lingering dreams and replaced them with a rabid shock of fear that bit through their nerves. A wailing giant quickly crushed, tore or half swallowed 70 people before Gunnagard Ashfire took control of the defense. He bashed at its knees and feet until they began to crack to get its attention. Avoiding the blows so the rest of the archers can slow it down. He ended the giant when he was able to climb up its back and grab onto the giants hair. He stuck a sword into its neck and swung from side of its face to the other.
