Here they hope to turn all who walk though its door into great and accomplished mages. They will do their best to help everyone become a proficient mage to further study magic, become battlemages, or if they simply want to excel at party tricks,

While starting out as a simple domed building, since its creation it has been given multiple additions to increase it's ability to train the new classes. Their are multiple floors that will mimic different environments to train in, and animals who naturally live in those places walk around freely. The desert floor is filled with sand and is always hot, the jungle floor is humid and filled with plant life. The forest is filled with spacious and the ocean floor is only traversable by boat.

After a period of multiple magical arts groups being culled something had to give. Magic schools or just any continuous gathering of magically gifted people is dangerous. For whatever reason they always fall to ruin, through accidents or infighting or the most popular, destruction. Mobs attacking out of fear, or bandits attacking for some hope of riches or a different group of mages attacking for their secrets, natural or unnatural disasters. And then theres the witches/wizards. They really don't like magical gatherings, they most of all have been responsible for most of the destruction of magic schools or guilds. And thats why the stone dome was built, you see most of those other schools would gather in a natural area. Where magic is stronger and they could practice and learn faster in that way. But that left them secluded and easy to corner. The stone dome fixes that, being in a city and in a stone building would dampen a witches power, especially with the help of law enforcement to scare them off or outright kill them. 2 birds, 1 stone.
