Hobgoblin
Also known as the Hobs, Hob Gobs, Hoblins and the derogatory term "runt". Which refers to them being the runts of the Orsai people, even though they are not related. They just unfortunately had the designation of goblin added to their group as a whole, and no one even knows who started that. Besides that they are known as the angry little cave people that raid every blue moon. Hobgoblins are the offspring of some kind of magical malfeasance that has left them very bitter about the world.

Their culture is dependent on magic, almost all of them are mages. They fight with it, build with it, cook with it, and any other inconvenient excuse to use magic they'll take it.
Due to their reputation it's hard to be accepted amongst others, so finding a normal job is hard. Their proficient enchanters and yet still can't depend on that to make money. That's why so many of them become criminals.
They prefer their caves due to their abundance of hiding places and stash houses, plus it's a great setting for the magically inclined.
They seem to have general dislike for Fairies, Nymphs, Dwarves and Centaurs.

Hobgoblins often form raiding parties to hit traveling merchants and small towns. The most skilled will form very selective heist groups, and slip into places unnoticed to steal priceless possessions. Or anything made by the gnomes, they really like relieving people of their gnomish made items.

You'll never catch a hobgoblin in anything less the finest garb. Even inside of a cave, smelly hovel or as a participant in an active warzone, whatever they're wearing will be exquisite. While the rest of the circle may have low opinions of them, you could never lower a hobs self esteem.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
They often challenge each other over authority, or just the right to be right. The Hob King is chosen through combat, and can be challenged for the crown at any time.

Funerary and Memorial customs
They have burial sites within the caves where they have ceremonial cremations. Usually somewhere in view of the moon. They're covered head to toe in enchanted wrapping, they then say a prayer to the Nightsmith and incinerate the body.
Common Taboos
Living in the cities with others is not something most hobs could understand. They'd feel to rejected, and have taken pride in their caves so now most wouldn't leave even if they had the chance.
Involving other races in Hobs business is also not something thats well liked. Hobs handle their own affairs and don't need or want outside input.

Beauty Ideals
Hobs have blue skin, and amongst them two skin tones are considered the most favorable, sky blue and dark blue. Women are seen as more attractive if they tie their hair in intricate ponytails. Men with the lighter skin tone get more attention.
They have thin framed, small shoulders but not frail. With small round faces and little ears, thin noses and nostrils. They have slick hair white as pickled bones with slanted eyes, thick lipped with no facial hair.

Hobs prefer their men to be the ones who do the dangerous work, while women take on roles that are less lethal. Not all but a lot of goblins are a part of bandit gangs, and raid around different areas of Thera stealing from people. Hob men will fight each other for positions of power and take more risks than their counterparts.
Women will either help scout a place to rob, or pickpocket and use slight of hand tricks to get money. Both sexes will sell homemade magical items if someone trust them enough to buy it from them. Women are also the homemakers, and protect their treasure while the men are away.

Hobs want to be woo'd with gifts. They want the best gifts to be given to them to show their partner truly wants their attention.
