Chips

The currency used in the eastern half of the Dragon Lands. First minted by Bojale to create a central currency between it's various peoples. It eventually spread to the entire continent, making trade that much easier for everyone. For the ease of use and to not overuse precious metals, chips can be made out of any fashionable material. But every single chip is enchanted by 4 different departments before being released. So every merchant can use a simple spell to check if they're real or not.

Chips are all made to fit in a chip casing, a full casing represents 1000 gold. So most people will never fill an entire casing by itself. Casing are square shaped and are no bigger than the hand of an average man. The names of their currency is also based on how they fit in the casing. So compared to the coins in the west, the value of the coins would be something like this:
  1. 5 gold = a line, a small straight line on the casing.
  2. 10 gold = a square.
  3. 15 gold = a rectangle.
  4. 25 gold = a thick line, thicker than a rectangle, called a thick.
  5. 100 gold = a large rectangle, called a brick.
  6. 250 gold = A large piece that fits in a corner, only 4 are needed to fill a casing. Called a corner naturally.
