Ministry of Health, Care, and Children
The Ministry of Health, Care, and Children is one of the nine current ministries that form the governing body of The City. It is most commonly referred to in unofficial contexts as the Ministry of Care.
The Ministry of Health, Care, and Children governs the welfare of The City’s population, primarily serving to provide all forms of medical treatment, as well as hospice, elder care, and child care. They are also responsible for the general education program provided to all children before they are entered into specialty education programs. They are also chief among the ministries to liaise with The Ancient Heart for assistance with medical care.
Established in its current form in 3478 PL, the purviews of this ministry were historically divided into many seperate entities prior to their consolidation.
The ministry building is the only of its kind to be located on the Second Level, though the surrounding Care House’s height and position mean it is almost reachable from the Third Level.
The ministry is found within the interior courtyard of the Care House, which itself serves as host to most of the ministry’s wards and benefactors, featuring hospital wards and school facilities.
The current Minister of Health, Care, and Children is Rémi Pascal.
