Welcome to Thelesia
Setting
Thelesia is home to a dizzying array of locations, creatures, and races. However, here I aim to simplify the process of character creation by laying out in broad strokes the main components of the world in a way that is easy to understand.
Thelesia is made up of three main continents: Volorun, Jobara, & Siopdre. Volorun dominates the world, in the north of the globe. Volorun is where most of the inhabitants of Thelesia live. Such magnificent cities as Mestone, Braedebekkr, and Caminster call Volorun home. The Badumunz Mountains take up the central portion of Volorun with rolling plains extending to the east and west away from the foothills. Many small settlements dot the shoreline and populate the plains away from the Badumunzes, and a series of seas complete the picture of Volorun as titanic waves crash against the southern coast.

Jobara and Siopdre are the other two continents of Thelesia, though they are rather drastically different. These continents — once home to standard ecosystems and peoples — were destabilized in a major cosmic event sometime in Thelesia's past. The bonds between Thelesia's planes were disrupted during this cataclysm and as a result Jobara & Siopdre (the region of the Material Plane that is most strongly tied to the rest of the planes) took on characteristics of all other planes. Obviously, it is impossible for one location to exhibit the characteristics of tens of thousands of planes at one time so the geographic makeup of Jobara & Siopdre shift constantly.
This has led to two major continents in Thelesia being unpredictable and labeled "uninhabitable" by most denizens of Thelesia. Few creatures live in Jobara or Siopdre, and the ones that do are some of the most unique beings in all of Thelesia (see Dire Walkers). Laying to the east of Siopdre is Jobara, and further into the sea east even of Jobara is a sea filled with thousands of islands. These islands lying in the sea are collectively referred to as the Southern Isles, and include such locations as Navaair and the Khesian Isles.
