Mistdale
Mistdale is the center of House Guissac's power, the crown jewel of the merchant family. Though there is no king among the Quintarchy, Lord Edmond Guissac wasted no time in creating the Glass Throne, a beautiful monument to the word he envisioned as ideal: a Guissac as king, sitting upon a a throne not of cold metal or rough stone like the rest of the human cities, but of beautiful, colorful glass that shines like gems in the sunlight. Mistdale is similar to the Petals of Bloom, a picturesque veil over the horrifying living conditions of Tysha's working class population. Unlike Bloom, however, the Guissac family cares a bit more about their foundations, choosing to make the center of their influence something akin to a campus rather than a true town. There is no slums, no poor district, no industrial zoning, simply the lovely restaurants and clothiers and jewelers that one pictures when thinking of high society. Nobility from across Arith are invited to purchase summer homes in the city, beautiful estates designed by talented architects and constructed by an indebted work force.
About a mile out of the city, underneath the canopy of magically grown trees, sits the Gleamwood Mill, the place where House Guissac "employs" anyone indebted to them. A number of druids are tasked with growing trees, which are then chopped down by mundane laborers and split into planks for projects across the continents. The Gleamwood Mill provided much of the lumber for Trale's High Town construction project, preventing them from having to level nearby forests for the resources themselves. Why these druids break the druidic tenants to grow trees specifically for lumber harvesting is unclear, and investigators have been unable to meet them to ask such questions. However, their work has allowed Mistdale to become the serene cityscape it is today, home to a thousand nobles and a hundred thousand servants.
