Count Mordred Jutt

Count Mordred Jutt

Count Mordred Jutt is one of the many Krovian Elves who were not born on the face of Thelekar, instead calling the distant Prime Material Plane of Draymor his home. He and his betrothed, Elvira Morgana, were the left and right hands of Pontiff Wilhelm, the first Pontiff of the Bloody God. Though he was to take Wilhelm's place after his death, he knew Elvira believed herself to be the better choice of leader. As soon as Wilhelm passed on to the afterlife, a very well planned uprising took place within the Red Cathedral, trapping Mordred and his loyalists within the inner chamber while Elvira put her plans into action. Unbeknownst to both he and his mentor, she had been planning a ritual for some time to shift the city from Draymor to another realm entirely, tired of the constant wars its neighbors declared. While Elvira was recovering from the exhaustion that followed the ritual, Mordred escaped, gathering what loyalists he and Pontiff Wilhelm had left and fled through the unfamiliar mountain range, eventually taking refuge in the Underdark via an ancient staircase beneath the Sunbird Tree. His arrival was noticed by the Founding Families of Eaglecrest: the Rivens, Orcens, Dullis, and Vizens. As a result, the bravest of the families followed after, and after days of searching and searching, they managed to find Mordred's newly constructed Red Palace and seal him within, placing the entire castle under a deep sleeping spell that both prevented them from aging and waking. One of the Krovians managed to escape this seal thanks to it taking the form of a purple mist the elves inhaled: Erik Von Jutt, Elvira's younger brother and Mordred's chief scientist. Thanks to his mask which filtered out both physical and magical threats from the air around him, he managed to stay free and worked tirelessly to free his trapped master and the rest of the court. With help from Jory Riven and The Chain during the Age of Swords, Mordred was freed from his prison and allowed to go free.   Mordred has since made his way north to the Valley of Kings, taking up residence in a decrepit castle he has renamed Castle Krovhurst. He claimed the title of Count as his own, and has since been rebuilding his numbers with willing converts and other refugees from Strey. He once again offered his aid to The Chain, teaching them the enchantments to protect them from the dangers of blood manipulation and lending not only his army, but his own strength, to the battle against Pontiff Elvira.
