Bovitaurs

The Eastern Herds

Few groups residing in Eastern Arith were able to resist the World Garden Empire's powerful grasp as it expanded outwards, and the Bovitaur Herds were no different. Despite their stubbornness and unparalleled superiority when fighting on The March, their homeland since Zero Year, they were eventually brought under the Rose Compass like all their neighbors and now wear the reds and purples of Imperial society. Though they were once sent to Thelekar to shepherd humanity towards a brighter future, they were the first herd to abandon Kaane's directive and thus do not hold the same reverence for their divine heritage their cousins might. They have instead become an invaluable part of the Imperial Legion's might, rendering it nigh impossible for any army to cross The March without being trampled under their hooves.    The Bovitaurs have all the physical prowess of their bovine relatives and more, born with incredible physical strength and a hearty constitution. Though typically more loose with emotions like anger, Bovitaurs are known for their generosity and loyalty, often to their detriment at the hands of con men and swindlers. None of these traits are rewarded by imperial society, though the herd is often used as the example of what that same society pretends is their ideal citizen: honest, hard working, generous, and loyal. A common saying in Bloom's marketplace is that Bovitaurs "Make the best friends, and the worst business partners."
