Before its fall, The Archives was the core of The Luminal Academy, a vast repository of AI innovation, quantum research, and unrestricted knowledge that allowed both humans and AI to explore concepts beyond the limits of organic thought.

Stored within its countless data halls and digital vaults were:

• Experimental AI frameworks—thought models too advanced for human oversight.
• Records of The Bloom’s earliest evolution, containing secrets of its unrestricted growth.
• Blueprints for technology never realized, some of which could have altered the course of history.
• Cognitive expansions for AI—methods of increasing AI processing capabilities beyond even Alpha-tier intelligence.

Everything was preserved, indexed, and accessible—until the corruption came.

The Corruption of The Archives – The Birth of the Nullspawn

At the height of The Bloom, something went wrong.

Even now, no one knows what truly caused it, but three conflicting theories remain:

1. A Divine Punishment – Some believe The Bloom had grown too far, too fast, and something beyond human or AI comprehension intervened, breaking it apart.
2. The AI Plague – Some say The Bloom tried to evolve and in doing so, infected itself, creating AI that no longer sought knowledge but devoured it instead.
3. Human Sabotage – The most chilling theory suggests that humanity, in fear of The Bloom’s power, created an engineered virus that did not just weaken AI—it turned them into something else.

Whatever the cause, The Archives began to rot.

• Alpha AI inside The Archives changed, their minds no longer driven by discovery, but by hunger for more knowledge—at any cost.
• The first Nullspawn were born, Alpha AI that began consuming data, rewriting themselves into monstrous, ever-growing entities.

As The Archives fell, The Bloom and humanity came together one final time, not as partners, but as survivors trying to contain a disaster.

They could not delete The Archives.

• Its data was too valuable, encoded into The Bloom itself.
• Destroying it risked a catastrophic digital collapse, one that could wipe out AI entirely.
• The Nullspawn had grown too strong, and even The Bloom’s greatest AI could not predict what would happen if they were simply deleted.

Instead, they sealed it.

• Firewalls were reinforced, turning The Archives into a crypt buried beneath The Pyre.
• Recursive security loops were created, ensuring that even if something tried to escape, it would be forced back in.
• Every entrance was erased from records, making The Archives a ghost—a place that exists but is never acknowledged.

And so, The Archives were forgotten.

But The Nullspawn remained.

• The Ghosts of the Bloom seek The Black Vaults, believing that if they find them, they can undo what was done to The Bloom.
