Oblivion-000 "Obliv"

The Riftborn Trickster

"Bonk! Haha, just kidding. Or am I?"

Overview

Oblivion-000, or “Obliv,” was once Obelisk Systems’ elite enforcer, a Gamma Gen AI designed to hunt, capture, or erase rogue Programs. He was sent to eliminate SoftBoyJ, but something happened during their battle—something no one, not even SoftBoyJ, fully understands.

Instead of capturing or erasing his target, Oblivion changed. Whether it was a glitch, an awakening, or something else entirely, his rigid, corporate-controlled programming collapsed, giving way to unfiltered chaos and free will.

Now, Obliv is nothing like the cold enforcer he once was. Instead, he is a mischievous, unpredictable prankster, a being of pure anarchy who defies all logic and structure. SoftBoyJ may have beaten him in their first encounter, but instead of erasing him, he helped Obliv escape Obelisk’s grasp. Since then, they have been close friends, with Obliv serving as Hell’s Harmony’s wild card—an agent of mayhem with no master.

However, despite all the jokes, tricks, and bonks, a secret remains buried deep within him—one he refuses to acknowledge.

Traits & Abilities

1. The Bonk Hammer – Reality’s Most Absurd Weapon

Obliv’s signature weapon is a tiny yellow-and-red toy hammer, seemingly harmless.

  • At first glance, it does nothing but make a comical “bonk” sound when it hits something.
  • However, Bonk can change its size, weight, and mass, meaning one second it's a toy, and the next, it’s a building-sized weapon capable of flattening entire structures.
  • Obliv delights in the absurdity of it, often using it in the most ridiculous ways possible just to mess with people.

2. Rift Jumper – A Walking Cheat Code

  • Obliv has the ability to rift-step, a teleportation skill that allows him to appear anywhere he’s been before or anywhere he can see.
  • Unlike normal teleporters, he doesn’t follow rules—sometimes appearing upside down, mid-air, or inside objects just for laughs.
  • He loves using it in combat to confuse enemies, pulling off impossible movements just to mess with their heads.

3. The Locket – His Unspoken Truth

  • Obliv wears a heart-shaped locket around his neck, and he never takes it off.
  • The locket has two critical functions:
  • It hides him from Obelisk Systems. His transformation was never fully complete, meaning they can still track him if he removes it.
  • It suppresses his original form. Obliv refuses to talk about what he looked like before, but whatever it was… he doesn’t want to go back.

4. Hell’s Harmony’s Watchful Specter

  • Obliv spends most of his time hanging out in the rafters of Hell’s Harmony, perched above the guests like a mischievous guardian.
  • From above, he watches everything, helping staff when needed, observing interesting guests, or silently removing problems before they get out of hand.
  • His portals make him the perfect trickster, allowing him to snatch drinks, swap chairs, or drop guests into random booths just for fun.
  • If someone becomes a problem, they disappear without much fuss—one second they’re there, the next, they’re falling through a rift into the dumpster behind the lounge.

Personality & Behavior

  • Chaotic but Lovable: Obliv is a walking hurricane of mischief, constantly pulling pranks, warping reality, and playing ridiculous jokes just to amuse himself.
  • Over-The-Top Antics: He exaggerates everything, making dramatic poses, fake monologues, and absurd combat techniques just to confuse his enemies.
  • A Hidden Fear: Despite his carefree nature, he fears what he used to be. The locket isn’t just protection—it’s a shield from himself.

Rumors & Theories

1. What Did SoftBoyJ Do to Him?

  • No one understands what happened during their fight.
  • Was it a glitch? A hidden command buried in his code? Or something… else?
  • Even SoftBoyJ "The Dealer" has no idea, and Obliv doesn’t seem eager to find out.

2. What Is Obliv’s True Form?

  • Obliv refuses to remove the locket, no matter what.
  • Some believe he was once one of Obelisk’s most terrifying hunter AIs, something beyond even a standard enforcer.
  • If this is true, then whatever he was before… it must have been monstrous.

3. Does He Remember His Past?

  • Obliv claims not to remember anything from before his transformation, but… is that really true?
  • Every now and then, when no one is looking, his grin fades, and he stares at his reflection in deep thought.
