Nicholas Ataeru

Also known as "The Giving Wizard" and "The Wizard of Shai's Frozen North" Nicholas is an ancient being who has been alive hundreds, possibly thousands of years.   Nicholas specializes in scrying and creation magic, creating living golems from iron, blightsteel, adamantite and many other metals while also creating one of the universes most powerful scrying tools. This scrying tool, sometimes referred to as "The List" has the names of millions of individuals in it and is monitored by Nicholas's golems. Each individual has a serial number the golems can use to find said person, although the list is so comprehensive it is not uncommon for it to take hours or even days to find the person via their name.   For the scrying tool to work, the person being watched must also be on Shai. Unfortunately despite Nicholas's best efforts a universal scrying system appears to be impossible, although he continues research on the matter regardless. The full name of the individual as well as their age and current location are also required to even add them to the list, and because of that Nicholas sends out hundreds of spies every year to gain information on new individuals not yet added to it.   It's not perfect, but once this information is gathered on any individual they can be added to the list. Nicholas does his best to only use his power for good, searching for specifically unsavory individuals to add to the list and watch to see if they commit any crimes.   Nicholas also uses his creation magic to make various "Living toys" for children and adventurers who are in search of entertainment around Winterfest. While these toys don't usually have actual uses, many find them to be fun sources of entertainment and thus visiting Nicholas during Winterfest has become a popular event for many.
