Bloodspire Wastes

The Bloodspire Wastes are named such due to the massive red leystones jutting out from the ground at random locations throughout them. These leystones stain the water red in certain areas, and they constantly leak a small amount of magical energy. The wastes are under the jurisdiction of The Eternals and the country Eternia.   Considered to be a bog, The Wastes ground is mostly peat and mud that tends to freeze over in the cooler hours of the night. Because of this living and traveling through the area is no small task. Despite this there are a number of towns throughout the bog, many of which are strung together by a number of roads leading from one to another. There is also a train line that runs through the bogs leading all the way to the city of Hope, although in recent years it has been shut down.   The trainline was shut down due to Karai Lovecraft's paranoia. She destroyed hundreds of miles of train tracks and redirected what remained to a nearby quarry. Despite Eternia's lack of natural resources they do have one thing in excess - rare minerals and ore, which can be found in the caves far beneath and around the bog.
