All Hallow's Faire

All Hallow's Faire (and/or All Hallow's Isle, the two are used to describe the same event and set of places) opens for the month leading up to the Day of the Dead, a celebration of one's ancestors and a night where dark entities tend to gain extra power. The faire takes place on All Hallow's Isle, an island in the center of the Emerald Sea. It's rich with history and tragedy, leading to the island being a hotbed of magical and anomalous activity that remains unexplained to this day. Due to all these factors the faire has become a favorite for various investigators, ghost hunters, magicians, adventurers and other groups.   The faire is separated into a number of events and buildings, many of which change yearly and are expensive to keep maintained. Because of this All Hallow's Isle stays active year round with adventurers helping to build up the faire in exchange for Hallowed Tokens, sponsored by the guild and the remnants of the Hallow family tree.   Due to the tragic history of the island a number of stories and legends have come from there, including the popular tale of The Headless Horseman and many, many more. During the faire vendors open up accepting Hallowed Tokens, allowing those who have helped the faire throughout the year to cash in on their hard work. Special quests also appear at the guild building near the beach.   Here's a list of some famous buildings and events around the faire:
  • The Guild Building

Outside of the fairegrounds are numerous attractions not necessarily set up by The Guild, but due to their impact on the island, their history or the materials that can be found near or in them the locations are considered to be part of the faire. Some of these areas are old fairegrounds while others are remnants of the mansion and natural phenomenon caused by the magic found on and around the island.   Here's a list of important areas around the island:

The Hallow family is a family that a few hundred years ago fell under the weight of a great number of tragedies, leading to the creation of The Headless Horseman, The Dread Fleet, The Plumpling Ravagers and many other creatures of the isle. Due to the family's innate magical ability, upon their deaths an amount of power was released all over the island - leading to many of the creatures inhabiting it to become corrupted or changed. The island's natural fauna even predating the Hallow family's arrival to the island has always been diverse and incredibly magically inclined.
