Way of the Wild
Primal Form
At 3rd level, your life force has been intrinsically influenced by
the animal kingdom. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points
to assume the shape of a beast you have seen before of CR 1/4
or lower that doesn't have a flying speed. This transformation
lasts for 1 minute, or until you end it as a bonus action. Your
game statistics are replaced by those of the chosen beast, but
you retain your hit points and Hit Dice, as well as your mental
ability scores, personality, and skill and saving throw
proficiencies. If the creature has the same proficiency as you
and the bonus in its stat block is higher than yours, use the
creature's bonus instead of yours. While transformed, you
can't cast spells, and your ability to speak or take any action
that requires hands is limited to the capabilities of your beast
form. The beast's natural weapons also count as monk
weapons for you.
Additionally, you retain the benefit of any features from your
class, race, or other source and can use them if the new form
is physically capable of doing so. Any equipment you carry or
wear merges with the form, or--if practical--is worn by it.
Alternatively, you can choose for your gear to fall to the
ground in your space.
Thousand Shapes
Starting at 6th level, the natural weapons of your beast shape
count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance
and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Also, while you are in your beast shape, you can use a
bonus action to transform into a different beast shape,
following the same rules for your transformation. The
duration of your transformation does not change when you
transform in this way.
Greater Primal Form
Beginning at 11th level, the power of your transformation
reaches new heights. When you use your Primal Form
feature, you can instead spend 3 ki points to transform into a
beast of CR 1 or lower. You also gain the following benefits
regardless of the number of ki points spent:
You are no longer restricted by the beast you choose
having a flying speed or not.
You can choose to retain your Dexterity score, as well as
your mental ability scores.
One With The Beast
At 17th level, the barrier between you and your beast shape
blurs to nearly nothing. You can assume your beast shape as a
bonus action instead of an action, and you can choose one
speed, trait, or sense of a beast whose shape you can take. You
gain that speed, trait, or sense, and you can switch it for
another option available to you over the course of 1 minute.
Your form--either normal or in your beast shape--adapts to the
option you choose, for example, you might grow wings if you
choose the flying speed of a giant owl. An option that relies on
another of the beast's game statistics or actions, such as a
lion's pounce, only works if you already possess the necessary
statistic or action.
