Volcanic Mountaineer
Volcanic Magic
Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you
reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Volcanic
Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it
doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know.
Volcanic Spells
Ranger Level Spell
3rd searing smite
5th continual flame
9th fireball
13th wall of fire
17th immolation
Molten Heat
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn to draw
on ambient heat and control it to your will. Once on each of
your turns, you can deal an extra 1d10 fire damage to one
creature you hit with an attack if you have advantage on the
attack roll.
You don't need advantage on the attack roll if you have cast
a ranger spell that deals fire damage since the start of your
last turn.
The amount of the extra fire damage increases to 2d10 at
11th level in this class.
Prepared
Also starting at 3rd level, you are always prepared for extreme
conditions. While you are not incapacitated, you ignore the
first 20 feet of falling when determining fall damage. In
addition, when you expend hit dice at the end of a short rest,
you can remove 1 level of exhaustion from yourself.
Burning Cover
Beginning at 7th level, when you deal fire damage to a
creature on your turn, you can ignite harmless flames around
yourself, granting you half cover on the next attack made
against you, or on the next Dexterity saving throw you make
before the start of your next turn.
Controlled Burn
By 11th level, you have mastered the movement of heat. When
you take the Attack action, you can choose to gain the benefits
of your Molten Heat feature on each weapon attack you make
as part of that Attack action, even if the attack doesn't meet
the requirements.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until 1
minute has passed.
Lingering Flame
Starting at 15th level, you radiate heat without a thought.
While you are not incapacitated, when a creature hits you with
a melee attack, it takes fire damage equal to your Wisdom
modifier (minimum of 1).
In addition, you gain resistance to fire damage, and
immunity to fire damage dealt by spells you cast
