Path of Frostbite

Chilling Assault

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this path, you can use your weapons to send a wave of chilling power across the battlefield. When you make a weapon attack on your turn, you can choose to instead make a special attack. This special attack is a melee attack with a range of 30 feet. You add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls. On a hit, the target takes 1d4 cold damage and has its speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. When you take the Attack action and only use this attack, you can make another of this attack as a bonus action.   When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.   This attack's damage increases to 1d6 at 10th level.   In addition, you gain resistance to cold damage while raging.

Winter's Embrace

Starting at 3rd level, you can infuse objects with the essence of cold. You can use your action to touch an object or water and freeze up to a 5 square feet of it, provided there are no creatures in it. Any damage you deal to an object frozen in this way is doubled. The ice fades after 1 hour.   At 10th level you can freeze up to 10 square feet.

Frigid Surge

Starting at 6th level, your endurance against the cold has inured you to effects that would stagger those weaker than you. When you are subjected to an effect that allows you to make a Constitution saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed and only half damage if you fail.

Arctic Awareness

Starting at 10th level, you become one with the cold. You gain the following benefits:
  • You have advantage on Perception, Nature, Survival, Investigation and Stealth checks related to snowy or icy regions.
  • You have advantage on checks to find food, water, or to track creatures when you are in snowy or icy areas.
  • You don't suffer the effects of extreme cold
  • You have immunity to cold damage while raging.

Glacial Might

At 14th level, you unleash sheer cold in you moment of greatest fury. While raging, you can use your bonus action send out a pulse of icy energy in a 30 foot radius sphere, centered on you. Hostile creatures in the area take cold damage equal to your Strength modifier (a minimum of 1). Friendly creatures in the area gain temporary hit points equal to your Constitution modifier (a minimum of 1).   In addition, cold damage you deal while raging ignores resistance to cold damage, and treats immunity to cold damage as resistance.
