Leif

Leif is the ilegitimate son of King Leon. The woman he was born to was a mountain woman, one of a few goliaths who either died out or disappeared into mountain tunnels. Leif's blood is a secret, and he was abandoned in the mountains, where he was found by specialized infantry and raised as a general infantryman from birth. Leif's magical powers are assumed to have come from the mountain, and not the king.

Leif would remember being raised by a young maid in his early years before she disappeared and he was instead taken into the guard at a very young age. The generalized infantry accepted Leif and appreciated him, but everyone else gives him odd looks and thinks he is strange. The specialized infantry are particularly rude to him.
