Dubhan Mac Goban

Dubhan Mac Goban

Shaemus and Lauren Shea, third generation owners of Shamrock Pub, were known in the District for treating every patron like a beloved child, just like all those that came before. For years they had attempted to start a family of their own, but with no luck, until one day a babe was left on the pub's doorstep. "He is yours, given he keeps his name. Dubhan Mac' Goban." Dubhan grew up in the Shamrock, or the Rock as the regulars call it, learning the art of brewing, and the love of helping others from his parents. Now 38, Dubhan runs the pub as his parents are well into their golden years, with the help of his cousins Patrick and Lizzy should his attentions be required in the neighborhood   The Rock is over 100 years old, worn, but loved for dearly. Each owner has learned the basics of many trades to upkeep the furniture and wood bar through the years, Dubhan being no exception. The Rock is known for its great beer, and its chalkboard, where anyone can put up a notice for help and either the proprietors or patrons have given a hand. On St. Patrick's day, in the spirit of unity, Dubhan allows all customers to drink for free, only if they do a good deed for another patron before bellying up to the bar.   While Dubhan is nothing short of a local legend, helping all those in need, never showing signs of slowing down, and one hell of a brewmaster, there are some other stories. Some people just want to start trouble, no matter the kindness shown to them. Once was the case with some local thugs who followed in a group of high schoolers who stood up to their pressures to join their crew. Dawning his favorite work gloves, it was said but a few moments later these troublemakers left via free airfare, and with a number of broken bones to boot.

Dubhan is your favorite local "Irish" pub owner of the Shamrock, known for its house made beer and whiskey.

The Great Escape

The doors of the Doctor's mad house slammed open, monsters crashing into the hallways and bearing down on us, their freedom a wild angry torrent. Sinuba, still a mess, couldn't be shaken by pain or whiskey, however Akemi was able to snap her out of it, through what magic I don't know, but it seems to have transferred whatever ill begotten fate unto herself. Dev, strong and silent, slipped from the room and confirmed the portal was still open but the wall of angry flesh would stop our progress. Much to everyone surprise, the Anubian protector was able to open a portal into another realm, which we greedily took, though it turned out to be the Egytptian underworld. After some effort we found another portal back into modern day Egypt where we looked for a way to protect Akemi and transport home. Our friends of Camelot were able to help us in a few days fly under the radar, but in the meantime we need to make haste to Greece to learn what we can of the fates and protecting Akemi. 42 and I work on the boat, upgrading it's power, but it was no match for the waiting trap of the Hydra! Quickly we learn we are in for quite the battle, when out of the blue the sky rips open and a storm swell swallows the beast, opening our path.

Mad House

While we stare at this portal, deciding if we want to take on the Doctor, Zee and I start to discuss the book in greater detail, and she learns a bit more about the ritual to raise mother, though it takes quite the toll on her. Until we are interrupted by yet another pleasant Atlantean, who tosses a large fighter and his larger tiger into our laps, yet another member of the zoo. Pleasantries accomplished Dev, our newcomer, charges into the fray after Sibuna decides to snatch the amulet and go. Unsurprisingly the Doctor's realm is creepy as hell, like something straight from a horror flick, but full of creepy ass bug monsters and other bullshit that wants to kill you. We find him upon his throne with Sibuna trying to get us all killed, and a mighty battle breaks out, wherein 42 learns and shares that he is very weak against fire, who would of thought! Laser rifle arm monkey in hand he burns his ass to a crisp, leaving nothing but ashes behind.

Atlantis!

Back at the 'rock we laid out our cards... a book, a knife, a necklace, and a giant wolf... not much to go on. We all did our best to convince Volf to go after his former master, but the damn beast is stubborn as hell. After a few hours coercing him with food and games, aka getting your ass tossed around, a damn portal opened in the alley, but thankfully not the Doctor coming to end us.   A white haired cyborg with serious anxiety was the culprit, but it seems he is familiar with some of the others' past acquaintances, and trust the connection enough to jump both feet into this crazy sci-fi lab portal. After working out his issues by pestering everyone for information we learn his name is Quadro... something Duo, or 42, but really QD is much better. The lab though is quite impressive, as crazy as this guy may be, he certainly is a talented inventor and creator. Skaft, one of his monthers, does make an appearance, and is far more reasonable a person to welcome us to Atlantis, like deep under the sea super advanced, storybook, Atlantis.   For all the technology this city has, and all the languages known, it seems they are unable to decipher the book and almost kill themselves in the process, but also Sinuba may be Osiris given form, so at least something. It seems all that was needed was to be a blood relative, as it decides to talk to me. The Tome of the Mother, a damn instruction manual on how to bring the mother back, I assume Duna, along with the amulet... but we thought the doctor was working for the Titans... I will need to see more. The Tome does drop a bomb though, the Doctor is my cousin, well that's special...   Bjorn saves us the trouble by jumping through a portal ripped open right into the lab. We are able to restrain him and split that possessive spirit from his body, before jumping in after the Doctor!

Two Fold Hummarabi
Dubhan

We nurse our wounds back at the Rock, with poultice and beer, while we look to take in all these recent developments. Zynalda, now with lycanthropy, is completely derailed trying to figure out how not to succumb to the new found blood lust. While Akemi and Zynalda go over plans and information, I provide my own healing potions to Bjorn, who will sleep off his woes in a drunken state. The best we can find is a potion of silver and wolfsbane, but in the mean time we might be able to drug and restrain the beast while we figure it out. Finally we start getting down to business, Sibuna and I will use our resources to scope out the Doctor's townhouse, he never seems in a rush, so likely this is just a trap within a trap. Drugs did seem like a good idea, we might be able to knock out the Doctor or Eryn without putting ourselves in harms way, so Akemi offers to head to the hospital. Hours go by with no word from Akime, and so we decide to go search, however it seems Zynalda thinks forcing her new form would be a great idea, in short, I will need to repair a few tables tomorrow. It seems Akime never made it to the hospital, Sibuna uses the CCTV network to find that she decided to "sneak" a peak at the doctor's townhouse, and was captured in fox form, so I guess we need to go directly to plan C - break through the front door. Fuck it, just knock on the front door, and it creepily swings open, and we find ourselves sliding down into a deep dark pit, but happily Akemi is down there, although in a cage. The room bursts into light, and it seems we have an enormous friend to make, a Jotun. Of course a trap, the doctor and that sea witch both make an appearance as well, and it seems he wants to just watch us die. A fierce battle ensues, and Zynalda critically takes control of the Jotun's mind, giving us the advantage, and we are able to behead the Doctor! Sadly this is not before he touches Bjorn, steals his eyes and his soul, dropping his body. I am able to recover an amulet, a ritual dagger, and a pocket tome, all steeped in magic, before the Jotun breaks free momentarily, forcing me to leave the Doctor's body. While Akemi gains full control over the Jotun, the doctor turns into mist, reforms his body, and takes the zombie Bjorn into custody! Fucking shit. We pull the damn magic cage which can at least control the wolf, and head back to the Rock, where we hope Fenrir is able to track down Bjorn and the Doctor, but we need some sleep.

Hunting a Predator
The Second Day

An APB from one of Metro's finest, a raven of Avalon, and group texts amongst close friends, all on the search for the car carrying Eryn to a fate unknown, headed far away from our location, at a speed we could barely hope to match. It was then that the newly cast man, Bjorn, had a moment of clairvoyance, piercing the veil and proclaiming in his rumbling growl "We must talk! We are being led into the shadows!" It all clicked into place, Jack the Ripper, famous for playing with his prey, taunting them with simple tricks to undermine and infuriate, he was going to double back! The Kitsune and the Cop extended their minds into the spiritual and digital realms confirming our suspicions and so we looked to trap the Predator! And that we did, with fists, claw, and blade, we pummeled into his cohorts and forced a retreat, but not before our own good Doctor twisted fate and broke the bond between the Ripper and Eryn. The poor girl was broken, but it seems she is under some sort of control, as she, the five year old!, tossed a car in our direction to cover their escape! We will not be deterred however, as the scrapped vehicle revealed his Georgetown hideout, and we plan our assault!

It's bigger on the inside!?

Let me tell you a story about a special warehouse on the docks. What is so special about a warehouse you may ask, well it was completely empty! Yet inside my new found friends and I traveled to a vast Savannah, the murkiest of bogs, and visited and arcane temple! Now for those of you who are clever, well you may be thinking to yourself, "Oh look here, Dubhan is trying to get himself on TV!" While the compliments on my good looks are appreciated, I assure you the truth in this matter is dastardlier! This was the work of none other than Jack the Ripper, with the support of a powerful sea witch named Kima, they had cleverly trapped our minds in a dimension of their own design! But let me back up, as you may remember my new found friends were looking to track down the girl Eryn, who was taken by this force of evil, and we had tracked them to this remote warehouse. Crossing the threshold ensnared these newly called hero's and it took a few moments to realize their minds were trapped, with a deep breath I pushed my mind into this new realm. There was the Savannah, the landscape dominated by stitched together horrors, and a flesh eaten werewolf, not your typical wildlife special. Sadly they had no interest in dealing with us through other means than violence, and quickly saw they were outmatched, as all the goons were quickly dispatched by my fists, and the newly formed Kitsune routed the beast to the earth. At least we learned that the Titan Mother didn't think we could be taken out by a single operative, and Kima the sea witch, bided her time until we were sucked into a mucky, buggy, stanky ass bog! To be honest, she toyed with us, rebuffing our attacks, and turning Bjorn into a crazed beast, bent on eliminating his companions. Luckily Sibuna's guardian and her magic were able to divert Bjorn before any serious damage was done, but it seems Kima was only there to delay us before Jack, or the Doctor, made his dramatic appearance. Pulled once again to another vista, this time an arcane plane, where he looked to capture us and turn us into one of his stitched horrors. Kima quickly made her exit, and the beast returned, but this all was secondary, this was the demon that knew where Eryn was! Hammering fists landed time and time again on a body that had no give, each strike landing hallow, I have never felt so weak, that was until he tried to push his way into my mind. Absolute chaos, visions of his nightmares and murders, all consuming thoughts that would make your stomach turn, a terrible magic infected my mind, but I couldn't stop trying, for Eryn. With all my might I tried to break his soul, stopping from his twisted experiments, but his well and power were beyond my abilities to push fate. Fortunately it was enough to keep him away from the others, but it gave him time to prepare his escape, turning around the others seemed to make quick work of the beast that came back to finish us. Finally with all the creations gone, this world cracked and fell apart, leaving us in a warehouse of the bodies of nightmares.

A cop, witch, and bear walk into a bar...
Dubhan

If a beautiful woman ever walks up to you in your bar and says you better come with me, it isn't your lucky day, you have just been put between a rock and a hard place. Such is what happened when Fi walked in this morning, U-Haul loaded with trunks and crates of eclectic goods, and the promise of a new band. A quick drive over to National Harbor, gently explaining to newcomers the predicament they are in, and maybe a quick pint. That is what I thought we would be here for.   The dossiers on the other hand, well lets say they were green, some even to pants, others to even knowing what species they were. This would have been a bit of a challenge in its own right, but sure enough we pull in to a military grade armored vehicle, a few Selke corpses laid out and being harvested, right in the middle of the day. To push matters further Fi distributes their relics and aids, really not explaining much (thanks for leaving that for me!) and it seems each of these new band members was destined by Fate to have the loudest, flashiest, and most blatant of talents. Honestly a 7ft bear man was enough, and two gun slingers in armored vehicle would be enough to bring the heat. But a 10 ft. obsidian Anubian guardian, every animal in the Zoo, along with some other new and creative species, and some medieval armor, well I am sure the Smithsonian will be calling, I am just glad they don't have a SWAT team.   Well, you get what you get, charges in hand I bring them to the one place I know, the Shamrock. There they are finally able to get their story straight, after cleaning up and getting some food in them. It seems they are after a serial killer, a doctor, possibly even Jack the Ripper, who is in league with the mother of titans, who has got some serious issues with this crew. Unfortunately James, one of the local kids, seems to have a sister fallen prey to this Doctor, so it is off the Warehouse district to hunt down this miscreant.
