In the farthest northern reaches of Az, the continent of Shutontas stands solemn in its solitude. Living here presents a great challenge for all but the hardiest of humans, for the majority of land here is a frozen, desolate desert save for the southernmost regions, sporting a foreboding forest that exists across the entirety of south Shutontas, dubbed The Somber Woods for the chilling winds that oft blow through, mimicking the cries of the departed.
  Despite the soul-crushing bleakness of the cold north, there is a realm of respite found within the center of Shutontas: The Xequoy Mountains. These blustery regions are home to the Xequoy tribes, who through taming the magnificent Snow Roks were able to piece together an unmatched civilization on the continent, creating settlements in the faces of the mountains to shelter from the cold and procuring food by hunting the elk that frequent the snowy forests at the base of the mountains.
  This leaves the Polar wastes, so devoid of plant-life that only the nomadic giants of Shutontas find purchase here. In fact, the northern tips of these wastes are so far within the northern polar circle that the sea freezes utterly, allowing one to traverse the massive ice sheets to cross onto the continent of the Tall Stretch, though why anybody would want to is another question entirely.
