Structure
The city state of Volazo is led by the Premier, a leader chosen every 5 years by the Great Families of Volazo from the ranks of the common citizenry. The Premier is usually a distinguished politician, business person, or military figure. The Premier shares his or her duties with the City Council, comprised of prominent locals. The Great Families of Volazo are also powerful figures in their own right, with the government frequently relying on their approval to pursue projects and political goals.
Culture
Volazo is a city-state of merchants, traders, and sailors, and all who are born in the city are fiercely proud of the fact they are native Volans. Because of its reputation as an international hub of trade and banking, many Volans are very wealthy by international standards. Volazo is also known worldwide for its amazing food and culture.
