“You can count on three things in this world – death, taxes, and Azeri imperialism.” -Kasi Orlov, Novori political analyst
Kingdom of Azeria
Structure
Constitutional Monarchy under Queen Anabelle I and the Honorable Chamber of Parliament
Culture
The Azerian people are very proud of their country and have a sense of exceptionalism that is well known throughout the region. Therefore, some Azerians tend to act smug toward foreigners. The Azeri are also fiercely dependent of the monarchy and have tremendous respect and reverence toward their current king or queen. While university education is not highly valued among the majority of Azerians, with the rise of machine-based industry has come a necessity for skilled laborers.

Military
The Azerian army is small but very advanced for its time. The Azeri elite infantry – the Blackriver Guard – are one of the most decorated units on all of Arda, and have boasted the feat of never having broken formation or routing without orders to do so. The real Azerian military power lies in its large and well-equipped state-of-the-art navy, which it uses liberally to exercise dominion over the Aleran Ocean and control trade routes.
Religion
The urban Azeri tend to worship gods of commerce and labor, where those in more rural communities tend to favor nature gods.
Foreign Relations
Azeria is aggressively expansionist, but mainly focused on claiming and colonizing overseas land. As the most prominent of the Western Kingdoms, to Azeria all neighboring states are considered rivals and their goals subject to fierce competition from the Azeri government.
