Ophire, the Land of Life and Death

Each of the deities has a realm to call home, one that matches their persona. All of their planes meet at the realm of the gods of Life and Death, Fiel and Athed Vidarr, known as Ophire. The sub-deities realms are accessible by traveling through their main deities realms, but there are also shortcuts within the central hallways of the Great College of Death at the center of Ophire. The material, ethereal, and elemental planes can all be accessed, with varying levels of difficulty from the Great Bridge of Life. This “bridge” is actually a stairway that curls up a large mountain. At varying levels are portals to the other realms all going to various places in them. Each portal is guarded by a pair of solars who usher souls from the realms into Ophire and their eternal reward. The mountain itself is patrolled by various celestial entities and magic runes to prevent souls from trying to return to their past lives once they have died. Atop this mountain lies the Great Hall, where Fiel resides and the council of the gods happens when important issues are to be discussed. It is also the home of a portal that leads to all realms of the Wode, through this portal new souls are sent to their new bodies. In front of this portal resides the Soul Pool, a magic liquid that creates new souls and sends them to the portal. This pool was created by Fiel to keep her from having to make more souls personally, and it is powered by a gem deep under its surface that is a concentrated piece of the god herself. This room is the most protected place in all existence since the void war, having no less than a battalion of angels and sphinxes. The rest of Ophire is lush gardens and fields, picturesque streams and rolling hills. The souls of the newly deceased are allowed to linger here until they decide on a realm for their eternal existence. For those souls that have spent their lives in the service of a particular god, this tends to be a quick transition, for those less inclined it may take longer. For those that wish to spend eternity in the service of Athed Vidarr, they may enter his service at the college and help those new souls that have recently departed mortality through their transitions. The greatest leaders that have followed this path are given new bodies and become revenants in service of Athed Vidarr. Those souls that decide to serve Fiel tend the gardens and base of the mountain. The greatest souls in this service become Devas and act as her messengers and guard Ophire, especially the mountain.
