Prince Fulrads War
Military action
Prince Fulrad, second son of Emperor Nûrn II, sought to prove himself in his fathers eyes and further his political ambitions. Therefore he spent almost a decade waging war in the east beyond the Hurst River.
It was he, who first reached the shores of the Emmber River and also the first Nurian to set foot across the Thessa, which he named after his second child and first daughter, Thessa, Princess of Nuria. He also founded the town of Besanmont, which he named after his firstborn, Besan, alongside the river that had its spring nearby.
Fulrad used this war to gather the support of his army. After his return to the capial he would stage a coup, that would oust his brother, Balderic, as heir to the throne. Balderic was slain in his sleep by his own guard, which was recruited from Fulrads army and therefore loyal to the man that had made them rich from all the plunder and spoils from this great war.
