Time Slots
On the planet Neman there are time slots separated by fractions of a second. The Nemanoi live in time slot 4 and the Jimenna live in time slot 2. There are an unknown number of time slots. Objects that cannot move such as land forms, trees, buildings, etc are visible in all time slots. They are known (in the story) as stationary objects. Things that can move or be moved are mobile objects. Mobile objects are only visible in a time slot other than their own if they have been stationary for some time (a mathematical formula needs to be figured to determine how long for visibility in which time slots) Once a mobile object becomes a stationary object it can be seen and moved by people from another time slot and will then disappear from its home time slot and not be visible again until it becomes stationary in the new time slot. It may then becomes visible in the same place and position that it was when it disappeared (if it was placed back in the same place and position by whoever moved it) or it may reappear in a new position or location if the person who moved it put it in a different place. Living beings such as animals and people cannot becomes stationary objects because the organs in their bodies are constantly moving, heart beating, lungs breathing, and so cannot move from one time slot to another. Sentient objects such as androids and holograms or shape shifters that can take the form of stationary objects can move from one time slot to another if they remain perfectly still for the required amount of time.
Manifestation
Stationary objects that are left alone for too long will disappear and then after some time they can reappear in the same or different place than they were in.
Buildings that are being constructed can become visible in one time slot as they are being constructed in another.
New stationary objects that are not similar to anything from a time slots civilization can suddenly appear in any location at any time.
A seed may be visible in all time slots but if it starts to grow it becomes a mobile object and can no longer be seen in time slots outside of its home time slot
Localization
This phenomenon is local to the planet Neman only. Visitors in our universe generally approach the planet and find time slot 4, but it is possible that some might approach in time slot 2 and meet the Jimenna. If they do the story will need a sentient object character in order to interact with the universe that my story is being told in. For all intents and purposes the Jimenna are invisible and may even seem mythical to the story unless Eco is involved or another Sentient object character.
