Joe Smith the Farmer
Just a homegrown helmet-bearing man living an honest life of the land... And the sword. But mostly the land.
Joe’s always been a man of the people. Born and raised in Leefside, he worked on multiple farms and even did shifts as a guard occasionally. Once he heard about Wardens, all he could dream about was adventure. While he wasn’t the best at magic, he was a man who knew how to wrangle the toughest challenges with good ol' grit and elbow grease. In pursuit of more magical knowledge, he would eventually meet Sabis, another adventurer he met whilst in Drekaya City working for the Wardens Guild. She helped him in understanding and eventually mastering his earth affinity. The two grew very close over the years, and eventually married.Joe took the mantle of Guild Leader at the Leefside location, leaving his daughter, Fig, in the hands of his parents, who ran a farm in the capital. Joe is a mountain of a man but also incredibly good at blending in with his surroundings. When the Guild dissolved in Leefside, he tended to the farm whenever others weren't and kept Leefside's food supply steady. He also was integral in helping in several other events in town, though nobody ever noticed, wrestling one of the wyverns in the area so the town only had to worry about one, or stopping angry rabid dire-honey badgers from ravaging Leefside's trade routes. Not to mention the outbreak of strangle vines in the farm that threatened to destroy Leefside's food supply. (Never noticed it? that's just because Joe handled it.) He's usually off on the sidelines or helping from a distance, taking pride in his life as one of Leefside's unsung and unseen local folk heroes.
