Glimmerhide

Glimmerhides are goat-sized animals known for their shaggy fur, two pairs of curved horns, and two sets of eyes, which give them a sharp, watchful look. They stand about 1 meter tall, with fur marked by swirling patterns that help them blend into the woods. Males have darker coats and thicker horns. Females are lighter, sometimes showing pale green or golden tones.

Glimmerhides are skittish but clever, often moving in small groups. They are quick on their feet and rarely let danger get too close. Their extra eyes seem to give them better awareness, making them harder to surprise.

They feed on a mix of forest plants—leaves, bark, mushrooms, berries, and moss.

Glimmerhides are sometimes farmed for their horns, which are used for tools or decoration, and their meat, while lean, is considered decent in flavor. Some hunters also seek them in the wild, though they can be tricky to track. Their shaggy fur can be used for items like blankets, carpets, and basic cloth. Their leather is also very sturdy.

Though not sacred like select other animals within Eren's biomes, Glimmerhides are still seen as part of a healthy forest. Farmers may keep small herds in clearings near wooded land. A well-kept Glimmerhide herd is a sign of good management and steady hands.
