Athann

Athann was a trade planet in the Obtrexta Sector which was a popular spot for travel due to its beautiful scenery and proximity to the Mantell Trade Route. Athann was under the control of The Galactic Empire, however it had it's own government and law enforcement.   The planet's capital is Lunula city, the oldest and largest city on Athann which contains it's royal palace  

Government

  Athann was governed by a monarchy, in 22 AGE Athann celebrated the five-year reign of it's monarchs Queen Delia Suxan and Queen Re Re Mip. The monarchs of athann were not descendants of a single family line, instead they were selected from diplomatic marraiges within it's five noble houses. The five houses apparently represented the original families who colonised the planet. The five houses were:

The Mip family of Gungans
The Orion family of Humans
The Tun’kra family of Caamasi
The Atagi family of Togruta

History

The Children of Aplia

Athann's indigenous people are ethereal beings seemingly made of pure light who call themselves The Children of Aplia; Aplia being the star which Athann orbits. According to those people they were created by Aplia when 'she' was the only star in the sky and the galaxy was lifeless. In her lonelyness, Aplia sent her children away to populate 'the endless sea' and become stars. Once aplia was no longer lonely she sealed her remaining children beneath the ground and gave them the gift of magical sight so they could observe the universe they had helped create. In time, the children of Aplia also became lonely and they magically reached out to a group of prospective settlers and led them to Athann. For a time the settlers lived in harmony until one day when the children of Aplia sensed hostility from the settlers and they were once again sealed underground.

The High City encompasses the central elevated area of the city. It has a wealthy residential section which mostly houses Athann’s nobility. It contains well maintained gardens and higher class amenities but is closely monitored by the city’s Royal Guard.   The Crescent
The Crescent is where most of the people of Lunula city live and work. It is by no means an impoverished area and holds many of the city's most famed Landmarks. The Crescent is still well patrolled by the city guard.   The Backstreets
The Backstreets is known as such because the houses are more tightly cramped together making very cramped darkened streets. The Backstreets still see a lot of industry but it is more low class; cantinas and the like. It’s much less common to see the Royal Guard patrolling the Backstreets and so crime is more prevalent.   Trapeza Cantina
A dive bar, which commonly host cantina bands as entertainment. The Spider is known to operate from here.   The Great Dam
The entire city is built around a dam over an estuary. The dam is built to look impressive and sits directly below the Royal Palace   Lazo's Maintenance Spa

A high-class jeweller who panders to the rich of Athann.   The Marble Springs
A bathhouse owned by a renowned sculpture artist, so as well as a luxurious spa it’s also a pseudo-art museum.   Clone Wars Museum
Despite Athann’s neutrality during the clone wars - closely allying itself with the Banking Clan - the people of Athann are posh and artsy enough to open the largest clone wars museum in the Obtrexta Sector.   Church of the Everglow
A minor religion which is tolerated by the Athannians. Mostly prevalent in the Backstreets, it teaches calm and mindfulness, believing that doing so can allow you to commune with beings of pure light.   The Forgotten Trail
The Forgotten Trail is a long historic pathway that stretches from Lunula city to a crater up in the mountains. Heavy displaced rocks mark the trail, presumably the remains of a long-gone structure
