A New World

Many centuries ago, nine mysterious wormholes opened in the home star system of nine different species, inviting them all to colonize the large and mysterious planet of Phylios, a world rich in resources, biodiversity, and the remnants of a civilization millennia past. Barely a decade after they gained their initial bearings and put down their first settlements, the wormholes closed, locking them away from their homeworlds forever.

These species - Krysa, Elsässisch, Shaytan, Mandatum, Jaanana, Móinéir, Kukimbia, Oguman, and Istorial - each brought something special to this planet. They would learn about their new world, spread across it, and either fight or make peace. Nations would form, shape, and fall to history.

There would always be a slight unease at the stability of this planet and its new inhabitants, but by The Powers That Be working in the background and foreground to ensure their survival, everything would be as designed - even if a city or two must perish.

The Species

The Krysa are a rat-like species with a private colony charter, sent to exploit a second world for its riches. They influence the markets and resources of the world.

The canine-like Elsässisch were sent to start a military outpost on the frontier. All manner of military might and protective force is theirs, becoming de facto guardians from threats within and without.

Shaytan, a mixture of deviants, criminals, and rebel serpents exiled from civilized society to create their own place. Crime and rebellion are their specialties, whether for good or malice.

The avian Mandatum find great happiness in administration and authority, so why not lead another planet? Be they in charge of a democracy, monarchy, or plutocracy, they can make effective leaders and rulers.

Jaanana, a species akin to Loxodonta, are naturally curious, and always finding something to research and advance. They are the great teachers and explores of the unknown, and the unknown of Phylios spurs their minds to know more.

The cervid Móinéir were forced from their irradiated home, devastated by war, as the last of their kind. The health of their species and their planet is paramount, and they will not repeat their past mistakes on this new planet.

Kukimbia, as equines, know that a connected world and proper communication are key to a species' success. They make reliable journalists and logisticians, creating the most advanced transportation networks anyone has ever seen.

The ursidae Oguman only wished to escape the religious persecution of their homeworld and found their promised land in Phylios. They hope to spread the good word of their faith to all others and find themselves highly capable priests - maybe they can convert new species?

The pantherian Istorial wish to spread art and culture to the new world and create new wonders as their civilization grows. Be they dancers, musicians, painters, or the historians who unearth it all, their muses are now the new world itself!
